My Story
My life, deeply rooted in service — military family upbringing, Air Force Nurse and Public Affairs Officer, and civic leader — instilled skills employers value. It was when I settled in a civilian community after 20 relocations that the stark military and civilian divide became clear. Most pronounced was the culture shock in the workplace. And, when my small business fully leveraged military talent, we far surpassed productivity and revenue goals. But it was in my pioneering work after 9/11, that I discovered how equipping civilians as Veteran Champions powerfully bridges gaps, offers purpose, and is a win-win.
