As we bow our heads this Thanksgiving, let’s remember that gratitude extends beyond our blessings to those who make such moments possible.
When we gather with family and friends, we celebrate America’s abundant way of life – from our cherished freedoms to the joy of sharing meals with loved ones.
Our military members, Veterans, and their families are woven into this tapestry, as their service safeguards the liberties we cherish.
While we thank farmers for our harvest, teachers for our education, and countless others who build our communities, let’s remember those whose daily living sacrifice – standing watch at home and abroad – ensure our freedoms endure.
This Thanksgiving, consider expressing your appreciation to a Veteran or military family in your community. Whether through a heartfelt note, an invitation to your table, or a simple “thank you,” let’s honor their role in preserving the way of life we’re privileged to enjoy.
With heartfelt appreciation and warmest Thanksgiving wish, Kathy Lowrey Gallowitz, LtCol, USAF, Retired
